Lazy Night Time Lover

Okay, so my husband has fully evolved himself into the "this is the way I like it, so deal with it" attitude. We have our weekly random fight over Night time vs. Morning time.

I like to do the dew in the night... makes sense, it's the end of the day, it was stressful, your already tired, now lets relax, kick one off and have some good sleep. Well that's not what he thinks. It's really the total opposite. He's tired, doesn't want to do anything but crash, be fully rested in the morning and kick one off to be ready for his stressful day. Now don't get me wrong mornings aren't bad, but we have to switch it up here a little bit.

Plus I like to workout in the morning.... early...outside. Sure I mean, that can be a workout but not everyday, plus webmd.com says that in 30 minutes you can burn 85 calories or more. Sorry but working out burns WAY more. Although 42 half hour sessions will burn 3,570 calories which is enough to lose a lb. But who has time to crank it out 42 times before they go to work? ;o) So.. I guess that is a positive. However though, afterwards I'm like a floating mess in lala land that needs to crash immediately. Now that isn't the mood I want to be in for the morning.

So still we debate. He says he'll plan to wow me after work, but thats if he makes it before he starts snoring or not. I pointed this issue out with my girlfriend and she said she has the same issue. She even gets the occasional "Good Morning" pokes as her notification. I'm like is this a guy thing or what? Have I been living under a rock somewhere? I want to think it differs from guy to guy though. I went to askmen.com and it said that men developed nocturnal penile tumescence (NPT) which causes a man to have 3-5 erections as he sleeps. Which severely entices the mood for the morning. Okay.. so I guess I knew that much...but it still doesn't explain the repetition of it all.

I guess I will charge it to marital bliss. I'm not starved so I'm not complaining, when it gets to that level I will be on the phone with the next marriage counselor. But for now I'll cherish our special mornings and keep my appreciation for the special nights. They do sparkle when we do have them though.

Straight Blogger Hiatus

I know I've been gone, I think this is the longest I've been gone overall..

I just been sick.. with the SWINE FLU?.. NOPE. it wasn't. Just almost damn near something like it!

You know when your sick, you really don't really feel like doing shit! Like, not even thinking. The light to the computer even had me nauseous. It hasn't been the slightest of fun. I can't even imagine the actual Swine Flu victims. It was so funny (well not really) I came to work on Friday, they took one look at me and was like.. GO HOME!!!!!!

I'm thinking this was the best time to be off, and they want me to leave! AND I'm sick!

Phooie, man.

So, I'm well now.. Thankfully due to some Sudafed and Night-Quil. The sorry part was HUBS WAS NO HELP!! Isn't your husband suppose to be there for you through thick and thin.. when your sick and unable. Well the whole time he was no help. No chicken noodle soup, no foot rubs, no store runs. Oh wait, except one towards the END!
You know us women, we never forget..... so just WAIT.

He'll be sick and I'm gonna go get all his fav foods and eat them in front of him, then act like I'm gonna share then take it away and say, "OOPS, can't share germs!"
I'll turn the air on Antarctica, and ask him how's his stuffy nose & congestine doing? while I drink Hot Cocoa with EXTRA MARSHMELLOWS!! (sorry, I'm a little perterbed)

So, for all you fellow sicko's out there I bid you well. There's nothing like a terrible flu to get you through the week.

Plus I missed you guys too <3

Special Delivery

I know i've been reading alot of Valentine blog post, but I thought I might not have one to offer considering I'll be out of town this weekend. (TO CALIFORNIA <3)

Usually my husband and I don't do much of anything special because our excuse is that we enjoy each other all the rest of the days, but we really just don't want to get caught up in the hype of gifts.. (this was made after a few missed gift exchanges and last minute drug store stops) If it isn't from the heart, then lets just pass up on it.. When I do things, I like make the effort to do them 100%. He was making it feel like.. "do I really haaaavvvee too?" lol

Although this year, he surprised me. Cupid came early. I'm so simple and he'd done what I always wished. Letter from the heart. Accompanied with roses made it even better..

I'll share his provoking inspirational of the heart:

"Something beautiful for the most beautiful woman I know. Your intelligence, sophistication, elegance and class are indeed characteristic of beauty. Your potential is endless in a world of so many possibilities. Your strength and courage are simply remarkable.
I love to see your face in the morning. I know I am married to a Queen who needs no paint to hide behind; and whose body has been truly fashioned by God. I am privileged and honored to find a rare jewel. She is my friend, my lover, my mate for life!"

The lady delivering the flowers waited for me, and gave me this hand written note. I went to my desk and was all emotional, my ears were hot and my nose was read. I called em up and thanked my love for the best V-day ever..

Just simple notes will do it to me every time.

<3

Next day, today.. 2/13.. I received another dz of roses, no love letter, but he stole my heart yet once again.

2006 Was The Year..

Today is just heavenly outside today.

It rained over night, a little bit this morning, then the clouds broke apart and the sun came out. The winds are warm and the air is clean & crisp. Got me feeling all musical. I get that feeling when everything feels right; then I start thinking back to when times were so magical. The most recent year was in 2006 when I met my husband. My friend in college came home for the summer and we just kicked it like kids do. The music was really good, the weather was really hot, and I got rid of some lost baggage I had been carrying around for seven years. A long time to be with someone who didn't love you completely. Vice verse. I would never do that to myself again. Thinking back... 2006 was my year of self discovery with a case of butterflies here and there. Who ever knew falling in love again would be so rich & enjoyable..

Can you think back to when you fell in love?

Not the teenage love, but the grown-up love. Where the all the games were out of the picture, but when it was all said and done only you two were the ones left?

Today kinda seems like that... 3 years later. It's not summer outside but it is to me.. I heard a couple songs on the radio today that confirmed it. I was 23 then.

2006 was a compilation of worried, scared, nervous, laughs, love , joy, hunger & pain all jumbled up in a year. God said, I have something for you.. you better aware yourself so you can receive it all cause you've never experienced anything like this.

And he was right.. the wind even blew differently. I saw the moon in a different light, the rain fell at a different angle. Birds spoke to eachtoher in the early morning and I noticed.

The year was my Muse. I wrote poetry & love stories and prayed & gave thanks. People looked me in the eye, and I smiled..

Like I was dancing to my favorite slow song..

Have you had your year yet?

Wanna Get Away?

My husband and I had a small tiffle over the weekend. He has single friends that he hangs out with and then. Well on Saturday, he told me around 10:nish (pm) that he was going out with his dude. I asked him where they were goin, he said to "Voodoo Lounge". (Which is a club here in Harrah's Casino) We all were there 3 weeks ago because my bf was in town for the holidays..so, me being at home and bored, I said "I'm going too".

Well call out the trumpets, cause he's about to blow.. (and whine). He said "It's only going to be all guys, none of their girls are going to be there." I said, "Ok, so what's the problem? Why is my attendance an issue? Got something to hide?"

He said "No." Then I brought up the fact that it was a club. His friends are going to be mingling and caking with chicks, what are you gonna be doing in the mean time?

He said, "Talking to them!!, Why is this an issue?"

I told him I didn't feel right about a married couple going to the club by themselves, plus it's more fun when you bring your spouse, cause then you can role play. Like on 4 Christmases with Reece Witherspoon, when they went to that bar and they acted like they just met! We do that sometimes, and it's fun. But this time he wanted to be solo, sooooooo

He went. I thought I shouldn't feel bad, but we always go together. He thought I was showing some insecureness, but it's like why are you going there for, when what you have is at home? Now, I've been without him.. yes. When he worked late or couldn't go, but I don't have fun w/o him anymore.

Married or not? Is it ok to let your man club (not poker, party or frolic, but dance club) with his friends? OR am I putting a tight grip on his balls?

Forget Me Not

Lately over the past years, it feels like I'm being left in my own memories? It kind of started with my best friend, we will have our talks and I'll be like,

ME: "Remember in 9th grade when the rubberbands from your braces kept poppin out of your mouth when you asked me for a piece of Winterfresh?"

BF: "Hell no".

ME: "What!!??" "That was the day we met!" "Freshman year, Mrs. Utt's English class, come on now!"

But..... Remembers?? she doesn't. That's like a freakin sock in the stomach man. So then, I bring up another memory, and she totally fakes it.. "Yeaaaaa, ooookkaaaay." I'm like "You don't remember do you?" "No!" ::chuckles::

My husband is the absoltue worst! Maybe because our memories are more important? (well any memory well kept to me is important) He fakes the funk alot too, and I'm always trying to mention an old memory so he can remember it! Plus it brings it back to life, I loooooooooove re-living a good memory. Makes my heart smile. Well when I do it with him he, gets "rushy, like "yea yea yea". I think he thinks I'm like a spinning reel of obvious rememberances that he already knows and I'm just nagging about them. (Jerk)

Sometimes, he acts like he doesn't remember when he actually does, and that hurts alot. What's the fun in remembering a special moment between the two when your the only one who was there! I found this out when I was telling his sister about it while he was there Thanksgiving dinner.

ME: "Yea Jessica! He doesn't remember our special moments! He leaves me all alone in our special times! ::making him feel sorry::

Jessica: "That's messed uuuuuuuppppp!! Why can't you remember, is it because you don't care?"

Hubs: "Man, whatever! I care, and I remember! I just don't tell her sometimes!"

ME: "WHAT!" "What kind of mean ass game is that! Our memories are special to me!"

Hubs: "I know, but you always be like 'Remember When?' and then take fooorever.."

ME: "Ok,.. then I won't share anything else." Next time you ask where your wallet is you better look on your own!!! (couldn't think of anything else to get back at him)

He recollects now when I mention 'Remember When?' doesn't leave me all by myslef in my mind. I think cause I busted him in public about it.

I'm not the only one alone in my head, here is a lady named Jill Price who wrote a book: The Woman Who Can't Forget She's waaaaay beyond my memory capasity, I would really hate to remember EVERYTHING.. and EVERY detail. Along with the good is always the bad, but somehow I tend to let those memories slip.. sometimes.. =0)

Totally not a Gamer Chick..

but last nite I kicked my husbands ass at Mortal Combat vs DC Universe. Now, my husband is 26, as so am I. We're 5 days apart, but he's apart of that whole "Gamer Nation" as I call it. You know all the Nintendo, XBox, Playstation people. I mean he is a grown ass man yet, I guess it's still ok for him (at his age) to still play these teenie-bopper video games? Well you know I'm not into gaming when I still call everything Nintendo lol.

I don't have anything against it, he does like it, and it keeps him at home. It's just funny when he's on the phone persuading my lil brother (whose to mention 24) to come over so he can open a can of whoop ass on him at Madden. (Ugh.. losers lol)

The other day he bought this game home, and back in the day when I played for a few seconds with my brother I used to love playing fighting, karate, ninja games..ONLY because it was ssooo easy to win. All I would do is just push buttons all around. I didn't know Back Back, Forward UP, and all that mumbo jumbo. I think that part of my brain takes longer to register that crap, plus why do that if you can just smash a whole bunch of buttons around to get the job done!? lol

So, it was quite pleasing to win last night. I think we stayed up until 3AM, he was attempting to do all these fatality moves, and I was just pulling crap out of a hat, and whoopin his ass! It was great. All little different, but really it was quality time .. well spent.

No Punching Allowed- While Cleaning the House

Husband's and wives have spats right?

Some spats seems more difficult that others, but some couples seem to just iron it over in no time and are all kisses the next.

Well I've been married for a little over a year now, and my husband is a great guy. Grown up in the christian faith,
well loving, strong in stature, easy on the eyes so to speak..unfortunately with all that greatness he can be such a hormonal baby! While he was putting the dishes in the dishwasher and cleaning the kitchen (yes, what a great man to do the whole kitchen) I saw a dirty glass sitting on the counter, and I asked him, "that could fit in there?" (very nicely I might add) He said, "No, I'll just leave it in the sink." Well my resourceful and tidy nature kicked in and I started to make space in the dishwasher. (which there was plenty of) So he see me, and jumps a flipping fit!! He said "What in the beep beep are you doing!?" Now he never talks to me in that manner... I said "I'm just making space!" He angered out " Well if you want to move everything around then you just clean up the kitchen!"

I was shocked, startled and pretty damn pissed none the less. We spat back and forth, me of course defending my side. He then brings out the vacuum, and thinks he's going to start cleaning up the living room while totally abandoning the kitchen. Then I forcefully bring to his attention while snatching the plug from the wall: YOU CAN'T START VACUUMING WITHOUT PICKING UP THE FLOOR FIRST.. now.. I'm hot right now, because how he originally treated me..

So..this is where I practically blow my top like a tea kettle!

He grunts folds his arms just like a little kid and falls in the chair.. ok. now.. we have to get his house clean, and I need help, especially since it was ALL HIS MESS.. (all, always & every aren't the words we're suppose to use in our pre-marriage counseling sessions..)

I tumble over and I start pulling him.. "Hey! Come on!, he starts playfully smiling, I get angrier. So I start with a jab here and I punch there.. ((he laughs)) .. then I grab his arm, and then the windmill in me come out and I'm just whaling while through the grit in my teeth saying " you ::better ::: clean::: the::: kitchen::: I'm:: always nice:::to you::: and :: you:: are::: treating:::: me::: like crap!::: And I rip his Haynes tank.

Quietly he sits on the floor in front of the TV. I pick up the handful of clothes I dropped, and bits of paper I previously picked up.. and go into the bedroom and wash my hair..

He didn't speak to me the whole night..

I apologized until the cows came home..still... 1st year married... 1st time happening. Nothing.

I felt terrible....I felt like I really wasn't "hitting" him.. just mad.. but he felt like reverse abuse or something.
It was all humorous, but this can go to show how something can turn... kinda bad. Ladies & wives..
don't hit your boyfriends and husbands.. He doesn't ever hit me, so I should respect him in the same manner.
Even if it's all in a jokingly way. I think he just wanted to blow up something to get majorly mad at. We've made up, the next day was glorious. I cooked him breakfast, and showered him with love....

Even though he's a sour puss baby and all.. I'll know next time to keep my hands to myself.
